CELEBRATING NAVRATRI
In India, the latter half of the year is Festival time. This year, we showcase Navratri, which is the second longest festival of nine days ending with Dusshera, on the 10th day.
Navratri represents a celebration of the Goddess Bamba (the Power), also addressed as Devi or Shakti.
Our programme will depict celebrations in different parts of India through music, dance and narrative, in a collaborative effort from veteran and new performing Indus Members.
Let’s come together for a morning of happy Fellowship and learning of another of India’s many cultural celebrations followed by traditional light refreshments..
There will be a charge of Rs. 150/- to cover the costs of chairs and decorations.
Please call Saju Thadani and Anahita Havaldar on Monday 15thSeptember between 12noon to 5.00pm to register for this event
Dress code: Traditional Indian wear.
