We are privileged to have Dr. Shoma Ghosh, an exceptional exponent of Hindustani classical music. She is the first woman to sing in the Parliament of India, she is an adopted daughter, of the legendary shehnai player, Bharat Ratna, Ustad Bismillah Khan, and now she is a Padma Shri awardee herself.
Adept at Benares style singing, namely Thumri, Tappa, Hori, Chaiti, Kajari, Dadra and Ghazal, today Soma will demonstrate the subtleties of these different styles and will take us into the sublime world of Indian classical music
