THE PUT FOOT RALLY ADVENTURE

Five countries. 8000 kms. 18 days. Aakash Sethi  & his team, Ishita, Vedang, Pranav & Pranali, undertook  the Put Foot Rally —a grand adventure across Southern Africa. Starting in Cape Town, teams journeyed through South Africa, Namibia, Zambia, Malawi and Botswana —all the while forging their own routes, and  finding themselves in any number of amusing mishaps. The heart of the rally was the idea of putting shoes on feet.

 With the funds they raised for new school shoes, all the teams journeyed to a school in a remote Zambian village to provide them to excited kids. Being the first ever team to participate from India, they certainly had no idea what to expect. And that made for quite the journey, and more than a few entertaining stories to go along with it. Although the rally may have ended a few months ago and there are now thousands of miles of separation between Africa and Aakash’s team, the spirit of camaraderie they experienced is still strong.

Aakash will take us through this journey and share the enjoyable moments with us this morning.
