As the travel committee explores exciting options for our Indus members, please indicate your preference by returning the tear-off slip at the end of your newsletter.

For the International trip, the choice is between a trip to Namibia/Botswana or a trip to Oman/Dubai with cruise. For the Domestic trip, the choice is between Tamil Nadu (Chennai – Pondicherry-Tanjore –Trichy – Kumbakonam – Mahabalipuram) or Malabar South India (Calicut – Wayanad-Nagarhole National Park-Mysore)

 WHO TO CONTACT ON THE BOARD IF …

• You notice an error in the directory – Membership Treasurers.

• Your newsletter does not arrive – Secretaries.

• You have an idea for a fellowship meeting, the picnic, or the quiz – Vice Presidents.

• You need a new name badge - Membership Treasurers.

• You would like to offer your home for a meeting –  Vice Presidents.

• You have changed your address, phone number, or email – Membership Treasurers (indusmembership@gmail.com)

• You wish to change your status – Membership Treasurers.

• You have a foreign friend who wants to become a member – Membership Treasurers.

• You will be unable to attend meetings for an extended period – Membership Treasurers.

• Your receipt for your renewal has not arrived by the end of July – Treasurers.

INDUS ETIQUETTE

We would like to remind all members to please wear their badges at the meeting. Lately, more and more members have started not wearing their badges. It makes it more difficult for new members and foreigners to mingle with the other members. Let’s remember the spirit of Indus is about new friendships!

Indus always needs houses to host its meetings. As members are travelling or refurbish their houses, some chairladies face difficulties finding hostesses for some of their meetings. We encourage you to offer your house if possible. Please inform the Board if you are able to offer your house (and have never done so before). We would also like to remind that only tea and biscuits should be provided by the hostesses. Please do not provide any other food. Being a hostess should be easy and not be a burden and the focus should be on the speaker!

Lastly, we would like to remind our members Indus should in no case be use as a forum for publicity. It is strictly forbidden to use the directory to build e-mails or phones listings to advertise.
