Happy New Year to everyone! And welcome back to all those who have been travelling!

Looking back to the end of last year, the Christmas Coffee morning was a wonderful occasion full of dancing, singing and storytelling. Many of our members enjoyed celebrating the spirit of a traditional Christmas together. A special thanks to Phiroza Muncherjee for hosting us in her wonderful bungalow, Mikki Hariani for her tasteful decorations, Marietta Barreto for ably leading the choir and all the volunteers for their help on the day. Thanks also to Nicola and Medha for their expert organisation.

Our Annual Event is coming up on 11th February so please mark the date in your calendars. Details of where to obtain your passes are in the newsletter so let's all get together and have some fun. We promise you an afternoon full of good company, good food, dancing and entertainment.

This month we also have our picnic to see the flamingos in Thane Creek and the Indus Debate which will focus on the environment. Check the relevant pages in the newsletter for details. There is so much happening so be sure not to miss out on these interesting events.

Indus is also preparing to disburse funds to NGO's. Please do send in your appeals for worthwhile charities who are in need of funds.

We look forward to seeing many of our members at the exciting events and meetings planned for the coming months.
