GANDHIJI'S GEMS BY KUMKUM SOMANI

October2, was the 150th birth Anniversary of the father of the Nation. Today January 30 is his 72nd Death Anniversary. What better day than this to remember a man of whom Einstein called “probably the greatest man to have walked the face of the earth” who also has given the world ”The Non Violence” way of achieving freedom.

Gandhiji's gems explores that interesting and exciting period in our nation's history through profusely illustrated stories.

When Kumkum, (a teacher who has taught pre-primary kids, gardening and puppetry), realised the present generation prefers multi-media to reading, she decided to turn her stories into audio visuals, one of which on the dandi march will be show-cased today.
