 Nine Parts of Desire!

Today, we will watch excerpts of Heather Raffo’s ‘Nine Parts of Desire’ --a solo theatrical act by the very charming and talented Ira Dubey, a trained actor from Yale University, who has considerable and varied experience in theatre as well as film. Amongst her many accomplishments are plays such as Girish Karnad’s Wedding Album, Shakespeare’s A Midnight’s Summer Dream, Vagina Monologues and films such as Aisha, Marigold, The morning fog and the upcoming Zaalim Dilli. Ira has done several Television commercials and has hosted a food-based reality show called Foodistan between India and Pakistan.

She has also modelled for fashion features in Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle and Cosmopolitan.

She will address questions on the role of women in theatre, films and discuss her journey in the acting industry.
