JAINISM IN INDIAN HISTORY
BIJAL DOSHI, our Indus member, will enlighten us about the history of Jainism briefly giving us various insights of its origin and antiquity during the Indus valley civilization, Vedic and Buddha periods.
She will also be explaining the Symbolism of the performance of the Puja as done by the devotees at the temple itself.
In order to maintain the Temple\'s sanctity, women during their menstrual cycle customarily do not partake in the Puja nor will be allowed inside the Temple which is also known as ‘Derasar’.
Those members who would like to do the Puja (new or puja clothes to be worn). Please register with Bijal Doshi on Friday 1st August (between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.) and Saturday 2nd August (between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.).
